Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school's HVAC system is controlled from the central office. From one day to the next, we never know if we are going to roast or freeze. Please give my kids sweaters so they'll be prepared on the days when it's too cold.
My students come from low income families and do not have the luxury of having two uniforms, one for warm weather and one for cold.
Uniforms are expensive. So most of our families buy one uniform...a pair of pants and a short-sleeved button down or polo.
It's difficult to learn when you are uncomfortable. Please be the one who helps my kiddos stay focused on learning and not the goosebumps on their arms!
