Help me give my students hats, gloves, and scarves to keep warm at recess.

My Students
My students are in a low-income area. Their parents work a lot in order to support them. It is difficult for parents to take time off to be in the school volunteering. These students face struggles such as lack of food and basic necessities, yet they are so resilient. I grew up in this community and faced many of the same challenges that my students face every day. I chose to teach here with the hopes of inspiring at least one child. The students at our school have so much potential.
Each year, my students love to help each other succeed, and they assist me in creating a classroom that cares!
I am in awe of the things they do to help each other daily.
The students at this school are becoming very excellent at technology and they are always teaching me new things. Our school now has 1:1 technology and the students are loving it. They are taking ownership of their learning through their data books and are reaching new heights all the time.
My Project
Every winter my students come in from recess freezing. The majority of them don't bring hats, scarves, or gloves. The ones that do lose them often. I would love to have these items in my classroom to offer to them when they are in need.
Having items to keep the students warm can make the difference between an exciting build a snowman type of recess to a huddle in the corner freezing type of recess.
I love watching the children build snow forts and snowmen, I can really see their creativity grow. I also love watching them all work together to make the biggest snowball.
More than half of students from low‑income households
