Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many amazing donors have given me the ability to provide a snack stash where hungry students could grab a bite in the middle of the day. These snacks helped offset the struggle of hungry, tired children.
First Grade is a crucial year for learning and little brain muscles need nourishment.
Students look to the snack stash as our lessons tire them out by recess time. The gummy snacks and dry fruit are small things that make their days better and I am happy to create this project to keep the snack stash well stocked for them.
The gloves and beanies will be a wonderful gift to keep their hands warm in our Albuquerque Winter.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
