This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are diligent about coming to school even if they are cold and hungry. Most walk to school which is currently a chilling experience. Some don't make it in time for breakfast at school. They arrive cold and hungry. I want to remedy that and would love your help.
I would love to provide warm gloves for students to wear and keep their fingers from getting cold and snacks to hold them over until lunch time.
Their parents do their best; I want to come along side them and do what I can to help. Peanut butter sandwiches (with graham crackers) and fruit snacks are our go to for holding off hunger. Also in this project are treats (Otter Pops) for students meeting their personal goals. I am grateful for your help in meeting the needs of these students.
