This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These hats and gloves will keep my students warm during their first winter in the cold climate where our school is located. If they are warm, they can feel comfortable riding the bus and coming to school to learn. Help us make them feel welcome, safe and warm in their new school.

Most of our students are from warmer climates than our state.

This winter is the first for many of them and the cold and snow are a harsh reality for many of them. We hope to make them feel a little more at home!
