Deep in the heart of the Silicon Valley rests a beautiful campus full of happy energetic students who come to school each day eager to learn in a meaningful learning environment. The students at my school inspire me to create lessons and be an innovative teacher that will spark their imaginations, add to their life schema, and help prepare them for the world of the 21st century. I am proud to help students do their best...whether it is learning the language, picking up comprehension skills that will enhance the reading experience, solving rigorous math problems, expressing themselves through the arts, experimenting to challenge an idea, or having fun throughout the experience.
My Project
My students worked hard to research and write about an understanding of what being homeless means, what a homeless person might encounter on a daily basis, and how they could find ways to help. With this understanding came a rich sense of community and how even a child could ensure that all people who live here share in each others lives. Our service learning project that needs funding will help seventy-two homeless men, women, and children. These people will receive care packages that are full of necessities that will warm their feet, fill their bellies, and bring smiles to their faces.
