My Students

My students are amazing and darling individuals that are very ready to be back in the classroom. The minority enrollment is 14% of the student body. I do have 1 ELL and 3 receiving resource help. I also have a few very low scoring students in math. Due to covid this year there is a very high stress level and I feel the extra seating and chair bands will help with that anxiety. I love the dedication that my students had during distance learning this spring. They were so excited to meet for zoom meetings, and complete every assignment as best that they could given the circumstances. I am certain that both they and their families are very ready to be back in the classroom.

My Project

I am a new teacher and am in need of good books for our classroom. I have an incredibly different range of readers this year and am always looking for new books to give them. New is always better right? I’m amazed at how excited they get when I get something new for our classroom. They are so tired of the few books that I do have. Most of which were donated by retiring teachers and several are duplicates. These books would help me as I’m trying to facilitate a love for reading to my students.
