Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach 5th grade in a low-income school. My kids are amazing and we need to read! Please help us improve our classroom library!

I want to provide my students with a classroom saturated with good books. They have few opportunities outside of school for exposure to literature so I want them to remember their year in my class as the year they learned to love reading.

I need pairs of chapter books so that students can participate in buddy reading and literature pairs. I also need biographies of writers to show students that no matter where they come from, they can do anything. These books will be used in my classroom for years to come to help kids love books.
