My students need a storage cart and school supplies including pencils, markers, construction paper, and glue sticks that will help them learn in small group time and other class activities.
My students come into my classroom to feel safe and loved. We live in a rural town in Missouri. A lot of these kids live on farms or old houses or small apartments in town. There are many low income families in our district. Sometimes education is not the focus.
We are a title 1 school and many of these kids receive free or reduced lunch, buddy packs, or some just need a mid morning or afternoon snack from their teacher.
My Project
We are asking for help supplying many different school supplies. We are needing many items that parents simply can't afford off of the school supply list given at the beginning of the year.
Most lessons I teach using anchor chart paper so we can reference back to it when we need to review.
We are also needing larger items like anchor chart paper and a cart to store supplies in that would be easily accessible to the students. Students would use all of these items during small group reading time, multiple classroom activities, and some will be used in our daily routine.
