Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We love seeing our students enjoy good books. They are excited to go to our classroom library to choose books that are of particular interest to them. In addition, they appreciate reading books where they can see themselves and their cultures represented. Our goal is to build a library that our readers love visiting again and again to help them improve their abilities.
Our students attend a Title I school in the inner city and are currently in an ICT setting.
The local public library has been closed for years for renovations. Many times, school is the only place for our students to be able to access books. We want to provide opportunities for our students to enjoy as many books as possible.
