Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Gives us a chance to learn as much as we can! Our classroom needs some updated material to helps run a smoother school year.
My second grade students are very eager to learn.
As second graders, they want to take on the responsibility of learning and preparing themselves for greater challenges such as assessments, CST, and third grade. My class consist of English language learners. Sometimes they don't have the resources at home to help them so the only time they really maximize their learning is in the classroom.
My Project
I'm asking for these items to help my students do their best. I want to make sure the my students are engaged in their learning. Therefore, I think having learning games in the classroom will keep my students excited on the topic and will help those with the language barrier. With the math literature books, I will be able to engage students in a fun and entertaining way to help them better understand math concepts. The other items such as timers, blockers, and the pencil sharpener are materials that I need to give my students a chance to improve in their testing skills. The timers help measuring their fluency, the blockers give them privacy to concentrate, and we really need a sharpener that is not constantly breaking down on us.
I want my students to really see how their hard efforts do pay off.
I want to be able to provided them with a classroom full of essential materials that will just make their learning easier. Your donations would truly be appreciated by my students on a daily basis from using the timers during their fluency practice to enjoying a math story and understanding the math concept. The donated material will make them feel valued as hard working students.
