This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from a high poverty area. Every day I see that these are very determined and intelligent students. My students love to come to school.

My students also love to read.

I need to add more books to my classroom library. I have a waiting list for popular books and I would love to have several copies and to add new books that will interest my students. They would greatly benefit from this project. When they read something they like, they will be readers for life.

My Project

My students love to read. We are in need of many popular books that 5th graders love to read. I have several book requests every day and I have a waiting list for books that I have purchased.

My students are in great need of books that are suitable for their age and will challenge their reading skills.

There are several popular collections such as The Baby Sitters Club, Dogman, and Percy Jackson that my students all want to read. With your donation, they will have a box set to get hooked on these great stories. The hope is for my students to be lifelong readers because of the amazing books they read in 5th grade!! Thank you!!
