Wanted: Basic Classroom Supplies So We Can Keep Learning
My students need basic classroom items, like tissues, lined paper, pencils, and glue sticks to help us succeed this year.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Rossi's classroom raised $253

My Students
My urban classroom is full of ready-to-learn middle school students who are looking to grow academically and in their language skills. In my school, over 92% of students are classified as low income, 35% are English Language Learners and 25% receive Special Education services. They are motivated to succeed and love having DonorsChoose projects, especially those that they lead, to enhance their learning in very meaningful ways.
DonorsChoose supporters help bring my students the educational tools they need to succeed!
My Project
Every day, I hand out tissues, pencils, pens, paper, and paper clips to students who desperately need these simple tools to help them learn. Can you imagine trying to work with a runny nose? Or glue a foldable into your notebook if you don't have any glue? Or take notes on complicated ideas when your pencil is too small to write with?
This project will address the basic needs of my classroom.
My students feel empowered when they solve math problems on their dry erase boards. They make book reports come alive when they are on manila folder lapbooks. They take ownership of their worksheets when they can find them in classroom binders. We are always eternally grateful to generous donors who help us worry about the big ideas in education rather than stress the small but essential tools we need to keep going.
