Wanted: A Pair of Yetis for Video Journalism Class!

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This school year, some of our middle schoolers will begin a video journalism elective. Sixth, seventh, and eighth graders will film and edit videos for our morning announcements, school website, and social media. We already have two laptops where they can edit their videos (thanks to DonorsChoose). Now, we'd really like to attach free-standing microphones to the laptops, so that students can easily record crisp, high-quality narrations for their projects. We've done the research and chosen two Blue Yeti microphones. With these, the kids will be able to make clear recordings of sounds made anywhere inside the recording studio (actually, the back storage room in the library). The kids love to make videos and are super creative. I can't wait to see what they do with a more sensitive mic that can pick up sounds from any direction. Last school year, our eighth graders produced over 150 videos. This year, we have expanded the program to sixth and seventh graders as well, so we're expecting to see even more great projects!
Approximately 85% of our students qualify for free/reduced-price lunch.
Many are first-generation Americans: their parents are recent immigrants from Central/South America and the Caribbean. The point is that our school does not have an affluent PTA that could purchase recording equipment for us—so we'd very much appreciate any help you could give us.
