This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember what it was like in school when you did not have supplies? Sometimes you borrowed from a friend or even failed to do some of your work because you may have been to shy to ask for paper. It does not feel too good!
My students are a wonderful bunch of sweeties.
They are eager to learn and ready to work. Most are economically disadvantaged and come from homes that lack many things. So many children do not have supplies. I know many have parents that have lost their jobs, and school supplies are the last thing on their minds.
My Project
Many students are too shy or embarrassed to say they need paper or a pen to write . Those students that have paper sometimes get tired of always having to give of their own few supplies. My students need various types of paper items to complete their station activities, and daily classroom assignments. They need pens and scissors to use during group time and when they do crafts or a foldable. It's no fun always having to borrow.
Your support can help reduce the stress and embarrassment of not having school supplies.
My students need to feel good at school and not worry about who they will borrow a pen or scissors from this time. Your kind support will enable my students to be more at ease and will be able to concentrate on learning and not on supplies.
