My second grade students are creative, energetic, and full of questions! They love to read, write and are generally curious about everything.
My second graders display a genuine thirst for knowledge and have an innate curiosity and excitement about all things in the world.
One can easily see they are natural scientists, explorers, and analysts, and often ask questions about everything.
Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning. I encourage them to continue asking questions and seeking answers to help them achieve their fullest potential.
My Project
Our classroom carpet is the hub of our learning. Each day we gather here for Morning Meeting, Closing Circle, Reading and Writing workshop as well as Math, Science and Social Studies lessons. The meeting area carpet also doubles as a place for students to read or write independently and engage in small group work.
Our classroom carpet is an integral part of every lesson and serves as a space for us to build our classroom community.
Students feel warm and welcomed and have their own personal carpet spots where they can engage in whole group and partner discussions. A new classroom carpet will create a climate of learning that will benefit all of my students.
