Wall Hooks for Safety!

My students need to be able to keep their backpacks off of the floor and put them somewhere safe like wall hooks. Our school does not have any of these to use.

My Students

Many of my students come in every day and set their backpacks on the floor or on their little chair. Through out the day the backpacks become unsafe because they fall on the ground and get kicked around. Then this becomes a tripping hazard. We have about 27 students in our rooms, and we need wall hooks!

Our school is a title one school offering free/reduced-price lunch, free breakfast and a free snack in our after school program.

Many students have chaotic and disorganized home lives. The students struggle with organization here at school and in their personal at home life. We try to give them the tools at our school to stay organized and safe while learning.

My Project

We will use the wall hooks as an effective part of our morning process. Students will hang backpacks on hooks to keep them off of the floor. This will prevent tripping and will prevent the ruining of each other's backpacks. These hooks will also help the students not to be able to go through backpacks throughout the day.

The donation of the wall hooks will improve the safety, organization and well-being of the students in my room.

The students will have a definite place to keep backpacks clean and safe.
