My Project
Most people think of classroom basics such as pencils, paper, and scratch and sniff stickers. While those are all needed in the classroom, when I think of classroom basics such as stickers, I want to inspire my students by placing classroom decals and stickers that will motivate them to learn as well as to feel to feel like a crucial member of our classroom community.
Making students feel loved and a part of something bigger motivates them to work hard on the concepts and standards we are teaching; thus, it gives them much needed tools for success.
My goal for this project is for them to come into our room and see the stickers that tell them things such as "You Got This!" and "You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think, and loved more than you know"; I want them to start the day off feeling special and wanting to do their best. I think most people can agree that in our work worlds and everyday lives, we will always work harder for the employers and people who make us feel valued, critically important, and exceptional. I want nothing less for my amazing students!
