My Students
Every day, I have the awesome opportunity to teach some of the most amazing and hardworking students that I have ever met. I teach high school students with autism. I am always amazed at their unique way of learning, and I am constantly trying to come up with innovative ways to best serve their specific learning needs. My school's mission is to help all students have successful post-secondary lives by teaching them necessary life skills. We encourage students to hone daily living and work skills through community-based learning and through the utilization of technology.
My Project
The safety of our precious students is our top priority. Conditions in schools can change at a moment's notice and it is important to have access to a quick and effective way of communicating with staff in the building. Walkie-talkies are a reliable and simple way of ensuring that all staff and students remain in constant communication when facing a building crisis. Having access to walkie-talkies will help with classroom management, school bus coordination, school-trip coordination, and the overall safety and well-being of our students.
