This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher, I want my students to be empowered, and familiar with technology. The Leapfrog LeapPads will allow me to create technology based independent work to better accommodate my students different learning styles.

I have the pleasure of being the teacher to 21 smart, enthusiastic 1st grade students.

Students who are excited to learn, and are gaining the necessary skills needed to become life longlearners. 100% of my students participate in the free lunch program. They come from low income working class families that live in the greater Los Angeles area.

My Project

The items that I am requesting will greatly benefit my students with their reading, writing and math skills. Your kindness will give my students the chance to learn at their own pace, while playing games that are not violent, but fun and engaging. While the students have fun and are entertained, they will be enhancing their reading, writing, and math skills.

Your generosity will help twenty-one students this year and many more for years to come.

Many of these students enter 1st grade with little to no technology exposure. The LeapPad Explorers, storage cases, and games will allow my students to use technology as a learning tool to help reinforce skills that will follow them through out their educational career. Thank You.
