Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach 6th grade English/History in a large middle school in an urban area. My class is composed of students with low income and limited resources.

My students are extremely excited to learn about Ancient Civilizations this year, but do not have access to materials related to our studies in the classroom.

My class needs books to access content while in the classroom. Students will be able to research topics further and gain ideas for their class projects. Having the resources available in the classroom will allow students to seek information when they are inspired to gain knowledge. Capitalizing on this inspiration is crucial in keeping students engaged.

Your donation will enable my students to access information and ideas in a real way. Students will also be able to collaborate together in the classroom about project ideas. You have the ability to excite students about history with your help.
