This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager four year old students, who are so anxious to get their hands into learning! These students are experiencing their first year of their educational career. They come in very shy, not knowing what to expect and observing their surroundings. This quickly fades as they make friends and notice all the wonderful manipulatives that await them.

The students come from high need families but with high expectations.

Our school is considered a high-risk school due to the economic situation in which they live.

My Project

My students learn best when they are able to utilize their senses, build, and create moving objects. For this project, I'm requesting Washable Sensory Play Material and a Remote-Control-Gear Bot. One can almost see those gears in their brains moving as they actively learn and make sense of their learning .

A quote that gets to the heart of my students from an unknown author is as follows: " We are born makers, we move what we're learning from our heads to our heart through our hands." With this in mind, your generosity will benefit many students in years to come.
