Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are a small school with a diverse population. We have students who come from households with a laptop for everyone in the home, and we have those who don't have access to a laptop or the internet.
My fifth graders are creative, bright, innovative, and technology-driven 21st-century thinkers who love learning new concepts every day.
My students are very enthusiastic about learning, love coming to school, are problem solvers, and always come to school eager to tackle new and challenging projects. My students thrive on creative projects that require higher-level thinking skills and cooperative learning.
My Project
My student have access to Dash robots but need iPads to code them. We have two iPads at this time, but the wait time is long with 28 students sharing the two we have. We have 7 teams and each team gets 30 minutes to use the iPad for coding.
Providing my students with one more iPad will allow more students to code our robots and reduce the long wait time we currently are experiencing.
My students are eager learners and look forward to coding our Dash robots. It will be great to give my students more options to work in teams to code our Wonder Workshop Dash robots.
