My Project
The comprehensible input style and repetition in these books will allow students to experience success in reading French, which is crucial for building confidence, especially for students who may struggle academically. The animal characters and simple storylines will capture students' interest who might otherwise be disengaged, making language learning more appealing and less intimidating.
We have students with diverse abilities and backgrounds.
These readers are designed to be accessible to all, ensuring no student feels left behind. The goal is to increase engagement by providing materials that are both accessible and enjoyable. Regardless of each student's starting point, students will experience improved reading comprehension skills and, hopefully, the desire to read more in future French classes.
My students come from diverse backgrounds, and many are already multi-lingual. They walk into my classroom with curiosity and enthusiasm. They learn to get along with others via partner and group reading, which models the professional environment where working with diverse co-workers and teams is often required.
