I teach advanced placement students in a resort city. I teach writing, reading and history to these students. However, we are often faced with needing a computer- that works properly! We have a laptop the district provides and we also have a desktop, one more computer would expand our capabilities!

Technology savvy students is something that our society wants to see more of - the problem is money and access. I would like to provide a laptop in the classroom for students to do research, writing, projects in excel, and PowerPoint. I would also like to experiment with students creating webpage on particular topics. The students are using the technology when they leave school, why not incorporate it while they are IN school.

Our class needs this laptop for everyday use. This is something that would be used every class, every day, by every student. I want every student to be confident and savvy with technology. I have many students who are limited with technology, I want to fix this problem and make steps toward having a more technological group of students.

Your help will make it possible for students to incorporate their technology skills in the classroom to make projects, activities, and build knowledge about technology. Your help will lead to a more technology based population of students. With your help we can help create students who are truly ready for the 21st century!
