This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Everyone loves Family and Consumer Science Food Labs. We would love to be able to have pancake and waffle food labs, but we do not have any waffle irons. Can you help us make our food labs waffly sweet?
I teach grades six through eight Family and Consumer Science in a Title I middle school.
There is never a boring day. My students are full of life and ready to learn, especially when it comes to food. Food labs are fun days for students and for me. I love helping them become more independent and responsible young people.
My Project
With the waffle irons/griddles my students will be able to expand their food lab repertoire. We will be able to make waffles, pancakes, eggs, bacon, sandwiches...you name it! This will empower my students to be successful in the kitchen and take more responsibility at home safely.
This project will help my students learn more cooking skills.
They will become more successful, experienced cooks and will feel comfortable using their culinary skills at home, cooking for others and themselves.
