My Students

Our scholars are an amazing and insightful group of students who will become the leaders of the future. They are a microcosm of the Los Angeles community we live in. Our students come from a wide array of backgrounds (Native American, Hispanic, Middle Eastern, African American, Hindu, Asian and Caucasian) and from diverse economic backgrounds and family groupings. They are supported by a strong, creative staff of educators and parents who believe in their ability to impact the world around them in positive and meaningful ways. Our students are eager to learn and thrive on new, innovative curriculum, which has real-world applications.

My Project

My scholars have been learning about using smartphones to travel on virtual reality trips across the world. We need these goggles to help take this trip, to the next immersive level. Students will be able to learn about far off lands as they visually step into that world. They will listen as guides lead them step by step through all the wonders that each place has to offer. We, as a class, will discuss each trip we take and how this has helped us understand the world we live in. We will develop questions we have for our guide and how we could research the answers to these questions.

The world will be at my student's fingertips as they travel across the oceans, to remote corners of the world.
