My Project
The VR Classroom Transformation Grant would enable elementary students to transform their learning environment by incorporating Meta Quest 2 VR headsets. These headsets could be used across science, STEM, and other subjects to deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that leverage the power of visual stimuli, which accounts for up to 90% of information transmitted to the brain.
The VR headsets can help transform the learning experience for students by taking virtual field trips all over the world & even into space!
VR allows students to experience immersive, interactive learning across subjects which boots knowledge retention and excitement about learning. VR enables students to actively participate in their learning, rather than passively reading textbooks. They can draw, sculpt, and interact with 3D virtual environments.
The immersive nature of VR can make abstract concepts more concrete and engaging for students.
This project has the potential to transform our learning environment, boost student engagement and achievement, and open up new pathways for underrepresented students to explore STEM subjects and careers.
