My Students

My students are so excited to return to school and get back to having hands-on STEAM experiences in our Innovation Lab. We will delve into 3D printing, robotics, and programming, as well as many other hands-on projects. It is so fun to watch their faces light up when they see the results of their own creations.

The students are curious and creative, imaginative, and innovative.

I love hearing their new ideas. We are a diverse school with many cultures and languages, and STEAM experiences are great at bringing everyone together for a common goal.

My Project

My students love to learn how to incorporate STEM into everyday projects. With the upcoming election, these supplies will help my students do two projects to help them learn about democracy, activism and voting registration.

The students will be challenged to come up with ideas for the 3D printer that will help remind people that their vote is important.

The students will design Voter Registration items with 3D design software and print them on the 3D printer. Examples of these items could be lapel pins that say "We Vote" or small fidget rings that say "VOTE" on them.

In addition to helping promote voting, students will use the dough to create statues of important figures in American democracy, including presidents, judges, and members of congress. During our Virtual Voter Registration Night, students will host a"museum" that showcases their statues.

Storage bags, address labels, and storage totes are needed to send supplies home with our hybrid-learning students.
