My Project
Each year in Washington State all of the kindergarten through 2nd grade students have the opportunity to participate in choosing the Washington Children's Choice Picture Book Award winner. These twenty books are this year's nominees. I will read all twenty books to my students in the library during the early part of the year and then have them vote on their favorite. The winner from my students will be added to the thousands of votes from other schools to choose Washington's favorite picture book for 2025. I've told my students about this process but have not yet been able to get the books. I would love to enrich my students' reading experience by including them in this fun, empowering, and educational process.
