My Project
First grade is the year where many students transform into readers.
My students are voracious readers that require a classroom library that is well-stocked with books of varying reading levels and areas of interest.
These boys and girls understand the value of daily, independent reading. They make their book stack and then go to work. However, as the year progresses, I notice that many of the books have been read over and over again and have become too easy for most of my students.
I carefully curated a selection of books that have lovable characters and interesting storylines. These engaging chapter books will challenge and encourage reading development amongst my most avid readers. I know they will be so thrilled to choose a new book and find a cozy spot to read.
