My Students

Our school is located in the beautiful mountains of eastern Tennessee, where the people are friendly and no one is ever a stranger. However, our school is dubbed a Title I district and is in one of the poorest counties in the state, but our students and athletes never let this status affect their determination and drive.

There are 44 individuals on our middle and high school volleyball teams.

These student-athletes are hardworking and strive to be the best on the court and in the classroom.

My Project

Unfortunately, determination and drive aren't all our volleyball team needs to be successful; we need volleyballs and a safe place to store them.

At the moment we have 7 volleyballs for all 44 athletes to practice with and to use as a game ball.

This is my first year coaching volleyball and like my athletes, I am always driven to be the best, but sometimes things are out of a coach's control, especially funding. We have fundraisers but those funds have to go toward jerseys, referee fees, and "away" game travel expenses, which leaves very little to purchase these expensive volleyballs in the amount we need. With your help, my team can reach their potential and win more games than ever before!
