My Students

A family cookout or day at the park is a great time to set up a volleyball net and organize a quick game. Volleyball is a great lifetime physical activity. It benefits the body physically, mentally, and socially. A trainer volleyball will help students develop the basic skills necessary to participate.

My students live by our school motto "Expect Excellence Every Day." We teach them that in everything they do they should give nothing but their best and strive to achieve excellence.

In the physical education program we strive to teach our students the skills and knowledge they will need in order to be physically active for a lifetime. We teach a variety of games and activities in addition to teaching important concepts about how to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle. My students attend a public middle school in North Carolina. They are very eager to learn and to be active. Using technology will only further their understanding of how the body moves and the importance of living a healthy life.

My Project

A volleyball trainer is slightly bigger than a regular volleyball and is made out of a light weight material. The trainer volleyball is lighter and does not produce the "sting" that a rubber volleyball gives. The trainer volleyball also floats in the air for a longer time allowing students to better adjust their body and prepare for their next hit. The trainers are perfect for beginning volleyball players and for students with disabilities. They are easier to handle and therefore the students can focus more on learning the skill. Having several of the trainer volleyballs will allow for more students to participate at a time because they will not have to wait in line for equipment.

Volleyball trainers make learning volleyball a lot more fun.

The students are excited to play with a different type of ball and they are able to better focus on learning the skill. More students will be able to participate and because the volleyball trainer makes playing easier more students will want to participate. My students need to learn volleyball because it offers many physical, mental, and social benefits that can last for a lifetime.
