My Students

I want to give my students so much because they have so little. Most of the students I work with come from homes below the poverty line in the Bronx, and I want them to have the chance to experience something positive that can influence their lives. Some of these students don't have access to supplies at home.

I want my students to be exposed to as much as possible so that they don't fall behind.

Even though they have so much going against them, they bounce back each time and come to school ready to learn. They look to our school as a safe place and that makes me want to provide them with everything I can.

My Project

Our volleyball program doesn't have a lot of equipment or accessories. This makes it challenging to keep our volleyball team in top shape. We have been creative with what we have and trying to expand our equipment as much as we can. We are looking to receive more reliable volleyball equipment for our volleyball team.

The volleyball equipment will help improve our players' skills indoors and outside.

Most of our volleyball players have never played volleyball in the park. Our students will be very excited to use this new equipment on a nice day in the park.
