Volleyball Equipment Part 2

My students need volleyballs to support our volleyball club.

My Students

My volleyball players need quality volleyballs to learn how to play volleyball with. Currently we are borrowing old volleyballs from a club team.

The school I teach at is a very impoverished school.

Almost 85% of our students receive free and reduced price lunch. Students go home at night not knowing if they will eat again until they come to school for the next time, or if they will have a place to sleep at night. Our students are bright, but we struggle finding ways to teach these students who are so unfocused on school because of their home life. We have several students who have additional struggles because of Autism, ADHD, and ADD. Overall, the students are great and very sweet. I enjoy and look forward to coming to school everyday to see their smiling faces.

My Project

My students will be able to use these volleyballs during Physical Education class during the volleyball unit. And also after school hours when there is a volleyball club that I teach every week one day a week. The balls that we currently use are old and borrowed balls that need to be returned to their original owner very soon for their own volleyball season. After the balls are returned we will no longer have any volleyballs to practice with.

The purpose of the volleyball club is to teach young elementary aged students about the game of volleyball before they get to middle and high school.

The goal is to improve the program. With the help of the new balls these young volleyball players will be able to learn and play for years and years to come. This volleyball club has helped to inspire girls to chase their dreams and has helped them become better people. Help me to continue to make dreams come true!
