Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students at our school have very little to do during lunchtime if they don't play soccer or basketball. When students don't have positive activities to keep them busy, they get bored and restless, which impacts their moods, overall wellbeing and learning.
We are working hard to provide more opportunities for our students to play, work together, be active and have fun during lunch and after school, but we have no money to get new sports equipment.
Students have been asking to play volleyball, and we are hoping to set up two nets for them to use.
Thank you so much for filling in the gaps for our students and helping provide the basic equipment that more well resourced schools have. Our students deserve it, and our whole school community will benefit from healthy, active, playful and fun activities during lunch!
