Volleyball Anyone?

Help me give my students volleyballs and nets so that they can play the game during recess.

My Project

Our students have recently become interested in the game of volleyball. As educators, we definitely want to feed the flames of that curiosity by providing our students with several volleyballs and nets to use during recess. They have been trying to use our basketballs to volley back and forth on the playground, which of course is not at all ideal.

If our students were offered real volleyballs and a net, then they would be able to practice hand/eye coordination, teamwork, and valuable communication skills during recess, as well as in the classroom.

Team sports activities are a really valuable way to improve collaborative skills such as communication and sportsmanship. Working with others is such an important skill for future global citizens and volleyball could help them practice these skills daily. Besides, it is such good exercise for our students.
