My Project
What I love most about my students is their creativity, curiosity, and ability to see the extraordinary in everyday life. They have unique perspectives and powerful stories to tell—some joyful, some emotional, and all deeply personal. This film project gives them a platform to express themselves, develop confidence, and learn how to shape their voices into compelling visual narratives.
Each resource in this project is selected to support their learning and bring their ideas to life.
The cameras allow students to explore cinematography and learn hands-on how to frame, focus, and shoot professional-quality footage. These tools will help students not only gain technical skills but also take ownership of their stories from start to finish, learning collaboration, empathy, and media literacy along the way.
This project turns the classroom into a studio, and the students into documentarians of their own lived experience. I believe this kind of authentic, creative learning can be life-changing.
