My students are imaginative, driven, and full of potential. They come from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and bring unique perspectives to every project. What makes them truly special is their resilience and creativity. Many have limited access to technology outside of school, but they show up eager to learn, collaborate, and tell meaningful stories through media.
My goal for this project is to create a classroom environment where students can produce high-quality videos, podcasts, and digital stories that reflect their ideas and lived experiences.
I want to teach them not just how to use media tools, but how to communicate effectively, work collaboratively, and think critically. With the right equipment, students can create polished projects that mirror industry standards and prepare them for future careers in media, communications, and technology.
The requested equipment will directly support their learning:
Speaker System: Allows students to hear feedback clearly and present their work with confidence. It helps create an inclusive and engaging space for showcasing projects and discussing audio/visual elements.
Camera Microphones: Improve sound quality for interviews and dialogue, making student films more professional and impactful. Strong audio is essential for compelling storytelling.
SD Card Readers: Enable quick transfer of footage, minimizing downtime and maximizing time for editing and creativity. This also supports digital organization and efficient workflows.
