Voices in Color: Storytelling Through Art and Language
Help me give my Spanish II students creative and organizational supplies—like stencils, rulers, markers, organizers, poster holders, and sharpeners—to bring their expressive Spoken Posters project to life.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What I love most about my Spanish 2 students is their growing confidence and curiosity. At this level, they are starting to take more risks with the language, explore cultural ideas more deeply, and express themselves in more meaningful ways. They are eager to connect what they’re learning with who they are—and that’s exactly what this project allows them to do.
"Spoken Posters Part 2: Elevating Storytelling Through Art, Emotion, and Creative Expression" helps them learn Spanish in a powerful and personal way.
The art supplies allow them to illustrate their stories with emotion and creativity, reinforcing vocabulary and cultural themes. Recording tools give them the chance to practice pronunciation, fluency, and expressiveness in their spoken Spanish. Access to culturally rich texts and audio samples offers real-world inspiration and context, helping them connect emotionally and linguistically with the Spanish-speaking world. Every resource brings language to life and supports the whole student—creatively, emotionally, and academically.
