My Project

The games and books I am requesting will play a crucial role in advancing the English language acquisition of our multilingual learners. These resources are not just educational tools; they are pathways to fluency and confidence in English. As my students engage in fun and interactive learning through games, explore captivating books and use dictionaries, they will not only grasp the language more effectively but also gain a competitive edge, ensuring they keep pace with their English-only peers in the classroom.

My primary objective for this project is to empower all multilingual learners, including newcomers with limited English proficiency, on their journey to language acquisition success.

I aspire to see my students not only meet but exceed their English listening, reading, writing, and speaking goals. By providing them with the necessary resources, I am creating an environment where they can flourish and build the skills needed to thrive academically and socially.

My multilingual learners hold a special place in our educational community as they navigate the foundational years of their academic careers while simultaneously mastering English as a second language. As an ESL teacher, my focus is on nurturing English language acquisition through listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The diverse range of students, spanning from kindergarten to 5th grade, encompasses a growing population of multilingual learners. Additionally, I welcome newcomer students across all grade levels—those new to the United States, speaking little to no English, or facing interruptions in their learning from their home countries.
