My Project

This project is focused on books and engaging activities to teach students the power of their words and improve their vocabulary. At this critical age, children are just beginning to understand how language connects them to others and how their words can uplift, inspire, and create. Teaching the power of words will help support my English Language Learners too.

Books that emphasize the power of words teach young learners essential life lessons- kindness, empathy, confidence, and communication.

These lessons help students navigate friendships, express their feelings in healthy ways, and build background knowledge for reading comprehension and writing. When paired with hands-on activities, these books come to life, allowing students to practice what they learn through play, discussion, and creative exploration.
