Vocabulary Fun

My students need daily center activites to further their vocabulary knowledge.

This project is fully funded

Low income, diverse, second grade class in need of more vocabulary development to increase their comprehension skills.

My students face difficulties with their vocabulary knowledge due to being from many different countries. I want to strengthen their abilities to comprehend their reading through more vocabulary practice.

There are many ways I want to include vocabulary into the student's curriculum. First, I want to incorporate a word of the day that the students can focus on during their journal writing. Second, I want for my student's to have a working vocabulary journal to include words they wish to incorporate into their writing. Lastly, I want to set up various vocabulary centers for the students to work on during our reading centers in the morning.

With your help, my students will become more fluent readers and writers. Your support will help my students become better comprehensive readers and lead to a brighter future for each one of them.
