My Project

We are getting a new reading program next year. This comes with new vocabulary. I would like to print these on cardstock and laminate them for the years to come.

It is important for Multilingual Learners as well as emerging readers to a visual representation of the words they are learning.

Printing words with pictures allows students to visualize the word and helps with long-term memory. I have been using words with pictures that are in our previous reading program for years and see a great increase and understanding. Continuing to teach like this has helped students new to our country and new to our language more than I expected it to.
