What I love about my students: EVERYTHING! Our county has the highest number of families considered to be in poverty. Yet, these students come to school with hope. They come to school with a light inside them eager to learn. Each is a different little human, different little soul, with different needs.
They have many barriers, traumas, diagnoses, and the ever-changing world to battle.
I need your help. They need to be able to focus, stay on task, and feel comfortable while doing so.
My Project
Our students are spirited, inquisitive, generous, and full of curiosity! That energy is low when they are hungry!
A majority of our students come from poverty, which dims that curiosity and wonder with hunger, basic needs, and wanting care.
Their spirit is still there hindered by a human's basics needs. In this project, I am asking for staples for my students: Staples in the form of food and beverages to help them sustain throughout the day.
Many students come to school without food in their bellies. They come to school and all the can think about is that ache in their tummy. They cannot concentrate on learning, regulating their emotions, and or much of anything else.
By donating to this project you will be helping create a small food pantry for our students. I will use this donation to stock it full of powerful carbs, juice with vitamin C, and energy-inducing, power-packed snacks.
When students basic needs are meet they can excel!
