This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from a very low economic area. Both parents struggle to put food on the table for the family. My students are always ready and willing to learn. My students are happy when they enter the classroom. I teach in a Title I school where all the students receive free lunch.
Our school tries its best to supply us with what we need, but, unfortunately, not everything is purchased for us.
I'm grateful for what we get, but it is limited.
My Project
The MacBook will help me communicate with my students during our virtual sessions. I will have an updated/new laptop to work with my students during our class lessons. With the bigger screen, I will be able to see my students better.
The MacBook will be a vital tool for our communication.
I will be able to use the tools on the laptop to better communicate with my students. They will be able to see me during class time with a working camera. I believe this will make a big difference with all our lessons.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
