My students attend a small, public school in the urban inner city in California in which 100% of the students participate in the free lunch program. My students are English Language Learners and need language support. With both parents working to support their families at times of need they don't have the resources to provide academic support at home. However, the parents are a very cooperative community and within the limits of their time commitments they are willing to help their children.
