This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have been on a journey to learn about the Science of Reading (SOR). As I changed my teaching to align to the SOR, it had a great impact on my Kindergarten students. This year I am excited to pilot a reading program that is based on the SOR. I need new teaching slides from TPT to replace my current slides in order to match the new program. My English Language Learners benefit from seeing images related to the words we use to build vocabulary and comprehension. These slides will help me teach phonemic awareness, phonics, and heart words.
