My Students

My students are first grade students that are eager to learn! They are curious, energetic, and thrive on hands-on learning. They are a very diverse class all with individual needs. They are hard workers who deserve the necessities to be successful. I have a variety of learners with and without disabilities. My students need visual supports as well as sensory tools in order to be successful in an inclusion setting.

My classroom is a place where all students can learn.

I plan with students' strengths and weaknesses in mind so that I am meeting their maximum learning potential. My students come from all over the city of Boston and have a wide range of backgrounds. It is my job to give them the education that they deserve and to develop lifelong habits for learning.

My Project

A projector is needed within my classroom to aid in visual support. This is important for all students especially my special education students. I will be able to project important information so all students can gain access to the curriculum.

Visuals are key to student learning and success.

My students need to be able to see what I am doing in order to be successful. In my class I use many visual supports. I model each activity before students work on their own. This is very important for my special education students. Many of my students on an IEP need visual support. Without a projector I would not be meeting their needs.

My first graders are learning how to be in school again. Being home over over a year has brought many challenges. I would like them to come back to the classroom without being challenged. This will help them for the few months that they are back in school.
