Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are a unique group of learners who need materials to help guide their learning. Many of my students struggle to communicate. Students with autism benefit from the support of hands-on projects to support their learning process and prepare them for a better future.
Having access to creative materials such as the wooden kits, tie dye supplies, and other arts and crafts materials will allow me, as well as the speech language pathologist, to work on more projects to support functional communication for our students.
Students use visual support to help them comprehend the content that is being taught. This will help build student success.
Other materials in my cart are storage bins to keep all the supplies in a safe place and teach students responsibility. My cart also includes a calendar to help student be aware of exciting things that will be happening during the month.
